National University of Singapore's Political Science Society

Founded in 1967, the National University of Singapore’s Political Science Society (PSSOC) has organized numerous distinguished events that occupy a key position in the nation’s calendar. Regularly attended by the country’s key thought leaders, the Society’s recent events have had the pleasure of hosting distinguished Ministers and Members of Parliament, as well as notable academics.

With a vibrant Model UN community, the Political Science Society’s flagship event, Singapore Model United Nations, is the premier MUN conference on the Singapore MUN calendar. The conference regularly attracts approximately 600 participants from all parts of Asia and enjoys a reputation for academic excellence. In recent years, the Political Science Society has also played host to the 2011 edition of the Harvard World Model United Nations Conference (WorldMUN).

Apart from Model UN, PSSOC also regularly organizes Roundtable discussions and forums with activists and policy practioners to expose the greater NUS community to political and current affairs discourse both in Singapore; as well as in the South East Asian region.
