How to Prepare for HMCA:

• Read the Guide to the Constitution for an overview of the US government. Also, read through the Guide to Partisanship and the Guide to Federalism. Concentrate on getting a broad understanding of how the government functions.

• Read through the Guide to the House as well as the briefings on Business Tax Relief and Gasoline Tax Regulation.  We expect that you will have questions, so feel free to email Ed (dumoulin at fas.harvard.edu) and Delia (dpais at fas.harvard.edu), the Harvard staff who will be leading your committee, with any questions.

• Check out the links below to webpages and articles that relate to your committee and its issues. Let Ed and Delia know when you find something confusing.

• Stay on top of current discussion of your issues in newspapers like the New York Times. If you find an interesting article, email Glenn and Ann Marie and let them know.
